Southern Alberta Ethnic Association Hosts Annual 'Holiday Traditions Around the World' Event

Lethbridge is set to embrace the festive spirit with the upcoming 'Holiday Traditions Around the World' event, hosted by the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association (SAEA).

Scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the celebration will take place at the Multicultural Centre, located at 421 – 6 Ave. South.

This annual event offers a unique opportunity to experience how various cultures celebrate the holidays through music, food, crafts, and stories.

Attendees can look forward to tasting international treats, learning about unique customs, and enjoying fun activities suitable for all ages.

The event aims to foster understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural fabric that makes up the Lethbridge community.

Admission is free, and everyone is encouraged to bring their friends, family, and holiday spirit to celebrate the beauty of the world's traditions.

For those interested in contributing to the event, volunteer opportunities are available.

Roles include assisting with event setup, supervising children's activities, and helping with event teardown.

Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

More information can be found through local volunteer organizations.

In addition to the 'Holiday Traditions Around the World' event, the SAEA is also hosting the 27th Annual Community Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Multicultural Centre.

This dinner is free for all and aims to bring the community together to share in the warmth and generosity of the season.

Both events underscore the SAEA's commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the Lethbridge community.

By celebrating various cultural traditions, the association continues to build cross-cultural relationships and create a welcoming environment for everyone.

For more details on these events and other upcoming activities, residents are encouraged to visit the SAEA's official channels or contact the Multicultural Centre directly.

Embrace the holiday season by exploring and celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures that contribute to the vibrant community of Lethbridge.
